PURGING INSTRUCTIONS

ExtraPurge - XT™ – "Your Fastest, Lowest Cost Plastic Purging Solution®"!

Mix ratio: 10 – 40%


Processing temperature range: 120°- 420°C


Mixing Instructions:

ExtraPurge - XT™ is a concentrated High Performance Plastic Purging Compound supplied in pellet form. Mix the concentrate with natural polymer at a ratio between 10 – 40 % of the total volume. ExtraPurge - XT™ will thoroughly clean the screw and barrel as well as the die and down stream plumbing. For illustration purposes if your system volume is 10 pounds mix 1 – 4 pounds of ExtraPurge - XT™ to 6 to 9 pounds of Natural Resin.

Recommended Mixing Quantity

45 mm - 7 Lbs.
70 mm - 14 Lbs.
90 mm - 20 Lbs.
150mm - 40 Lbs

ExtraPurge - XT™ is highly effective at quickly changing colors and removing unwanted residual material of the following thermoplastics:

PS, HIPS, PE, PP TPO, TR, Thermoset Plastic, ABS, PA, Acrylic, PolyCarbonate (Transparent, black specks), Flexible and Ridig PVC, EVA, TR, PU, PPO, PolySulfone, PEEK, Torlon, Ultem etc...



Purging Instructions:

Increase the screw RPM’s by 10%, feeding at the throat fill the screw and barrel with natural resin (the same virgin resin you were processing with no colorant or additives in the mix) until it extrudes out of the nozzle or die head.

Feed the mixed ExtraPurge - XT™ Plastic Purging compound into the throat of the machine until it extrudes out of the head or nozzle. Run the mixed ExtraPurge - XT™ straight through the extruder until all the quantity of the Extrapurge - XT™ compound exits the system (1.5 times the content of the system volume).

• Purge with natural material to eliminate the residue of the mixed ExtraPurge - XT™, color & carbonized thermoplastic loosened by ExtraPurge - XT™.

• Begin normal production.
